Korea Weather Average Temperatures

Korea weather is classified as moderate, thanks to the country’s position within the relevant climatic zone. There are marked variations between the country’s four distinct seasons; however, because of Korea’s high humidity summers in the country are hot and the winters cold.

Commencing in December and running through to February, the winter season in Korea is cold and dry, with average temperatures hovering around 30F. By late March or early April, spring is in full swing; drizzles are frequent and temperatures rise to 65F.

In contrast, summers in Korea, although hot, they are also rather rainy especially during July’s monsoon seasons when downpours are at their heaviest. Average temperatures for the summer season (June to August) soar to 90F. Autumn is short and lasts from the end of September to November, and along with spring is most definitely the best and most pleasant time of the year, especially to overseas visitors. Korea’s annual precipitation is approximately 60 inches.
